WINGS Alpha, Smart Contract Code & Grants for Best DAO Projects
Today we are releasing a publicly accessible alpha version of WINGS for our community and those considering using WINGS for crowdfunding and DAO governance. Our goal here is to give everyone a basic idea how the system will work, gain feedback, and iterate the system toward an MVP with which we will launch with at the end of Q1 so that great projects like Stremio’s AdEx and others which we will announce soon can start crowdfunding. This network will stay up for most of January.
The system is running on our Ethereum private development network- a Proof of Authority devchain powered by EthCore Parity. It allows doing several simple things: proposing a project, generating and deploying the project smart contact to our Ethereum devnet, storing the project blob data (like images and documents) on IPFS, enabling WINGS holders to make a simple forecast on how much the project shall receive in funding, and finally funding the project using a “BTC” token, getting in exchange the new project tokens.The interface is simple to use and will be further improved over time as WINGS Foundation is able to access funds from the backing campaign which currently stand at over 1740 BTC raised.
The submitted projects and the received data from the mock forecasting and crowdfunding will be used by the team as part of the evaluation criteria to give out some awards to the most deserving teams, so if you plan to make a proposal take your time to put together something of quality. To receive the following prizes teams must commit to using WINGS for their crowdfunding during 2017. If you cannot commit you can still participate and see if you win for the lulz and international fame.

Please note that all “BTC” and “WINGS” tokens on the alpha are not “real” tokens — you will notice that your wallet will have an Ethereum address; do not send tokens like ETH or ETC to that address.
